Built in 1956 by Mr. Sng to accommodate plantation workers, this kampong was once as vast as six football fields, housing over 40 families. Today, it's home to 25 families, occupying a land area equivalent to three football fields.
Despite being surrounded by modern high-rises, Kampong Lorong Buangkok maintains its rustic charm. Chickens roam freely, treated as pets rather than dinner, and residents still embody the spirit of "gotong royong," or communal cooperation.
